Featuring Micron’s 176L NAND, the P5 Plus SSD is the first PCIe Gen 4 product in Crucial’s consumer SSD lineup and represents the increasingly widespread adoption of PCIe Gen 4 interface across not only enterprise-class products, but also consumer applications.
Being the first to launch 176L NAND, Micron has been aggressively ramping up production as this technology allows for better manufacturing cost reduction. TrendForce hence believes 176L products will narrow the gap in operating margin between Micron and Samsung.
